Dylan & Aaron

November 1, 2025

New Orleans has always been magical, but that day, it became unforgetable. Aaron's sister, Logan, joined us for a day of exploring, and we eventually wandered into Louis Armstrong Park. The sun shimmered over the water as we made our way to the bridge, where Aaron suggested we take some pictures. He handed his phone to Logan, and I smiled for the camera, completely unaware of what was about to happen. Aaron turned to me and told me about how much his life had changed since he met me. I just listened, oblivious-until he dropped to one knee. In that moment, everything else disappeared. My heart stopped as he spoke the four most magical words: "Will you marry me?" I was too stunned to speak, my mind racing, my heart soaring. But somehow I managed to nod-because there was never any other answer but YES!

Our love story began in 2021. On a quiet Friday night, I opened bumble, not expecting much-until I saw him. With one swipe right, the universe decided to have a little fun, and in an instant, we matched. Our conversation took off like we'd known each other forever, bonding over scary movies and our shared dream of visiting Zak Bagans' Haunted Museum. Time slipped away as we talked, but life kept us busy, stretching our anticipation for two weeks before we finally met. When we did, at the neon-lit wonderland of Area 15, we couldn't stop talking. Hours passed like minutes, and by the end of the night, we knew-this wasnt't just a match. This was something real. Something special. Five years worth of memories later and we've travelled to Germany for Oktoberfest, experienced Disneyland Paris, New York and New Orleans.

the FAQs

WHEN IS THE rsvp DEADLINE?

Please RSVP by August 27, 2025, so we can provide an accurate head count and meal selections to our venues and stock the bar.

CAN I rsvp ONLINE OR DO i HAVE TO MAIL IN AN RSVP CARD?

We invite you to RSVP online here after you have received your invitation or by mailing in the RSVP card sent with your invitation, whichever is easiest for you.

IS THE WEDDING INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?

The afternoon wedding ceremony will be held outdoors on the lawn at the Ford House at the Ford Field and River Club. Guests will walk to the lawn on paved walkways, but will need to step on grass briefly to take their seats. The reception will be held indoors in a ballroom at the Perry Lane Hotel in downtown Savannah.

WHAT IS THE WEATHER IN NOVEMBER IN SAVANNAH, GA?

In November, the temperature ranges from the mid-50s to the low-70s. For the outdoor wedding ceremony, the weather is expected to be sunny and 70 degrees, so bring your sunglasses! But it cools down in the evening, so we recommend a wrap for bare shoulders.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR THE WEDDING CEREMONY?

The wedding ceremony begins at 3:00 pm.  We recommend arriving at the ceremony venue at least 20-30 minutes prior to be seated.

WHAT is the dress code?

The dress is cocktail attire. Dresses, suits or jacket and tie appreciated.
Please, no jeans.

WILL THERE BE A SHUTTLE TO AND FROM THE HOTELS?

We will not be providing any formal transportation for guests to and from hotels.  Please make arrangements for your transportation to the wedding ceremony and reception venues. From experience, we know that Uber service from the Ford Field and River Club is minimal and a rental car might be necessary.

IS THERE PARKING AT THE WEDDING VENUES?

Yes. For the wedding ceremony at The Ford, there is free on-site parking. For the wedding reception, the Perry Lane Hotel will provide valet parking at a reduced fee of $15 for our wedding guests.

CAN I BRING A DATE OR PLUS-ONE?

We are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding as we'd like to keep the guest list to only those who know us well. When you receive your wedding invitation in the mail, it will list the name(s) of the person(s) invited and no additional guests can be accommodated.

ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED AT THE WEDDING?

We've chosen to limit young guests to 16-year-olds and over who are members of our extended families only. We ask that you make arrangements for child-care if you have young children. We appreciate your understanding.

HAVE YOU RESERVED HOTEL ROOM BLOCKS FOR GUESTS?

We have reserved room blocks at 2 hotels. One in Richmond Hill, GA, close to the wedding ceremony venue, and one in downtown Savannah, GA, close to the wedding reception venue. You can find more information about the hotel room blocks here along with their booking-deadline dates and the links to book your room at the special wedding rates.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I DON'T MAKE IT INTO THE ROOM BLOCK?

If you miss the deadline to reserve a room in one of our room blocks, reach out to the hotel and mention our wedding anyway - they may be able to accommodate you with our discount in a room outside of our block.

WHAT IS THE BEST AIRPORT TO FLY INTO?

The Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport is the closest airport. The hotels are easily accessible from the airport via Uber. Downtown Savannah hotels are located about 10 miles from the airport. The Richmond Hill hotel is located about 25 miles from the airport.

WHERE IS THE COUPLE REGISTERED?

You can find links to the registry here on our website.

WHERE SHOULD WE BRING/SEND OUR WEDDING GIFT?

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for, but if you would like to honor us with a gift, we request that you have it mailed to our home. Each store we registered at has our home address and can arrange this for you.

IS IT OK TO POST WEDDING PHOTOS ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

Yes! Our wedding hashtag is #maddoxeverafter.

CAN YOU SUGGEST PLACES TO EAT, DRINK, AND SEE WHILE WE'RE IN TOWN FOR YOUR WEDDING?

Yes! Downtown Savannah is loaded with historical site-seeing options and fun bars and restaurants. Check out the "Things To Do in Savannah" section of our website to see some of our favorite spots to eat, drink, and explore.

WHERE WILL WEDDING UPDATES BE POSTED?

Any wedding updates or changes that affect our guests will appear on our wedding website.
